Alita VanVliet has been painting using acrylics since the mid 80's.  Over the years she has developed a vivid style of painting to express her love of nature and the beauty of the landscape.  Her technique of layering color over color gives each piece a unique richness, depth and luminosity. 

Her work can be seen throughout California in galleries, cafes, government buildings. She is a participant in the annual Santa Cruz Open Studio Tour and local Art and Wine Festivals. She is available for commission work for those who are looking for a uniquely custom piece.
